Things on the drawing board around Byron

Here’s  a snapshot of some exciting things we’re currently working on in and around Byron Bay.

Others, when we get a chance to update here, include a new 3 story house on the hill on Shelley Drive Byron, a new Shou Sugi Ban house in Suffolk, and an exciting project in Byron town centre!

Major extension on the Beach Front – Lennox head

We’re currently preparing DA documents for this breezy extension right on the ocean. It’s been a very long road with every challenge in the book, but we are close to lodging the DA. Stay tuned

Heritage Listed Farm House Renovation – Bangalow
This project is also now finished. It’s fascinating for it’s historical story. It’s the original ‘Clover Hill’ house in Bangalow designed by Arthur E Beckinsale – a prominent local builder who built numerous houses in the area, another 4 of which still exist in and around Bangalow today. The house was built for a prominent dairy farming family in the early 1900’s on the property then known as ‘Lyndhurst’. It has long since been subdivided and somewhat engulfed by suburbia, but the house still sits on a large block with room for a new pool and garage in a landscaped setting. We designed substantial improvements while retaining and restoring the key heritage characteristics of curved timber brackets on the verandah’s, which were all covered up by previous renovations. Full respect to the tremendous commitment and passion of the owners!

Major re-build and expansion of weatherboard cottage – Brunswick Heads

The DA is approved and work will be starting soon on this major extension of a cute little cottage in Bruns just down the road from our new office upstairs at the Hotel Brunswick
